Background

He joined IMTECH in 1986, after completing his M.Tech from IIT Delhi. He did his Ph D from Institute of Microbial Technology, Chandigarh in Bioinformatics. Developed benchmarks for protein sequence/structure alignment techniques during his PDF at Oxford University, Oxford UK.

Before joining IMTECH in 2002, he was scientist in Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Hyderabad. He did his Ph.D. from Panjab University, Chandigarh in Theoretical/Molecular Biophysics.

I have post graduation in Chemistry Organic and Ph.D. in Chemistry. I worked at the Division of Biochemistry & Biotechnology, National Institute of Communicable Diseases,22-Shamnath Marg, Delhi-110054, from 1996 to 2004. I have nine years experience in Molecular diagnosis Strain differentiation, Drug resistance and Genotyping of important epidemic prone infectious disease pathogens viz. HIV, Dengue,Hepatitis, Polio, paramyxovirus, SARS, M. tuberculosis, Yersinia pestis, Bacillus anthracis etc.

Systems verification and validation, network architecture designing and optimization, new technology deployment and evaluation. Software and configuration changes verification. Upgrade software and configure network switches, router, modem. configuration and deployment of wireless network. Administering and monitoring antivirus server, firewall. Deployment and monitoring of network through DSLAM-ADSL facilitates the simultaneous use of normal telephone services, ISDN, and high speed data transmission, e.g. video. To provide training with updation of state of technology.Development of webserver, updation and maintenance of web site of institute and centre.

Installation, configuration and troubleshooting PC / Server Hardware as well as software.Network Infrastructure (wired and wireless) documentation, assessment, support and troubleshooting.Installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of various Microsoft Windows Network Operating Systems like Windows Server 2000/2003 , Windows Small Business Server 2003, Novell Netware 4x and 5x , RHCE AS 4X and 5X Installation, configuration and maintenance of as well as various well known antivirus solutions in client server architecture like Kaspersky, Symantec and Quickheal etc

He did his Bachelor’s degree in IT and Management (honors in Netwrok Engineering) from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. He also got some technology specialized certifications from Micorsoft like MCSE on Windows Server 2000 and 2003, MCDBA on SQL Server 2000, MCSA plus Messaging etc.Before joining IMTECH in 2008 He had the 8 year of experience of working in various prestigious nationwide companies like Spice Net Limited, Systnet Global Technologies Private Limited, and Unicorp Overseas Limited as a Customer Support Engineer. During his job in private sector harminder obtained working knowledge of Windows Server 2000,2003, Windows Small Business Sever 2003, Exchange Server 2003, Novell Netware 4X and 5X, Red HAT Enterprise Linux 4X and 5X, Software an d hardware UTMs like Cyberoam and Nebero etc.
