Mr. Kumardeep Chaudhary

  

Background

He graduated in Zoology (Hons.) from Panjab University, Chandigarh. He was awarded Gold Medal in graduation. He did M.Sc. in Systems Biology & Bioinformatics from Panjab University, Chandigarh. He has recently submitted his Ph.D thesis and currently he works as a senior project fellow under the supervision of Dr. G. P. S. Raghava at Bioinformatics Centre of Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTECH), Chandigarh.

Area of Interest

His broad interests include: Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Next Generation Sequencing, Proteomics, Biomakers, GWAS, Genome Medicine, Personalized Medicine, Medical Health. His ultimate goal is to improvise upon translational health for the benefit of mankind.

Present Status

He is currently Senior Project Fellow and is involved in RNAi-based anticancer therapy along with biomarker identifications for cancer progression and metastasis. He has also contributed in the fields of peptide informatics, immunology, proteogenomics, creating customized operative system (OSDDlinux).

Mr. Sandeep Kumar Dhanda

  

Background

He passed his graduation (Chemistry, Botany and Zoology) from Govt. P.G. College, Hisar (Kurukshetra University), Haryana. He did M.Sc (Medical Biotechnology) from Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana. He has recently submitted his Ph.D. thesis entitled "In silico approaches for designing subunit vaccine against the emerging strains of mycobacterium tuberculosis" under the supervision of Dr. G.P.S. Raghava at Bioinformatics Centre of Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTECH), Chandigarh.

Area of Interest

Immunoinformatic and Peptide based vaccine designing & Diagnostics, Next Generation Sequncing, Genomics and Personalised Vaccine.

Present Status

He is currently Senior Project Fellow and is involved in understanding immunoinformatics and its experimental design study.

Dr. Ankur Gautam

  

Background

He earned his Master (Bio-Technology) and doctoral degrees from Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Area of Interest

Therapeutic peptide designing and prediction, identification and characterization of novel cell-penetrating peptides and anti-cancer peptides.

Present Status

I joined BIC on Jan, 2011 as postdoctral research fellow (DBT). Presently, I am Senior research associate(CSIR Pool scientist's scheme). I am working on In-silico designing and experimental characterization of therapeutic peptides.

She received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Biophysics (Hons School) from Department of Biophysics, Panjab University Chandigarh. Thereafter, she earned her doctoral degree from the Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTECH), Chandigarh.
